The applicant is requested to demonstrate that the requirements of the Greater Dublin Strategic Drainage Study (GDSDS) policies in relation to Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) have been appropriately considered. In this regard the Applicant is requested to submit an alternative proposal to the direct disposal of Surface Water, namely a proposal showing a reasonable effort to incorporate SuDS measures appropriate to the scale of the proposed development. (A soakpit, or similar, if permitted by the ground condition, would be regarded as a reasonable solution.) The applicant is requested to contact DLR Municipal Services Drainage Planning Department prior to submission of proposal. The Applicants are responsible for acquiring any rights or permissions necessary to connect to or increase the discharge into, or to build over, or divert, or to ensure adequate capacity is not exceeded, or otherwise alter any private drains not in their exclusive ownership or control and for ensuring their adequacy. 2. The applicant is advised that the proposed rear extension is considered excessive in length having regard to the proximity to the party boundaries. The applicant is therefore requested to submit revised proposals for the rear extension which ensures that the proposed extension does not exceed 7 metres in length when measured from the existing rear elevation.
